Replacement remote controls that replace in all its functions the remote BOSE RC38T1-40:
Some Bose systems use radio frequency (RF) remote to be controlled; however, there is an option in the Bose System Menu to receive IR signals. Please find below the instructions to set your Bose System for IR control (these options could be a bit different in your model):
1. On your Bose go to "System Menu"
2. Select "Remote Control"
3. Select "IR Control"
4. Select "On"
Once this is done, you will be able to control your Bose system via infrared Mandis Remote.

It uses 2 batteries of the type AAA
1.5V alcaline batteries AAA LR03, used in a great majority of remote controls.
